Tyrex Mobile Tyre Fitting Ltd was set up to fix one simple problem: a tyre goes flat or wears out, and the driver has to work out how to get a damaged car to a garage, then wait around for it to be fitted. We thought the tyre shop should come to the driver instead.

Today our vans cover Ipswich, Colchester and the towns and villages between them, from Felixstowe and Woodbridge to Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Hadleigh, Manningtree and Clacton-on-Sea. Each van carries a tyre changing machine, a wheel balancer, new valves, a torque wrench and a stock of popular tyre sizes, so most jobs are finished in one visit, on a driveway, in a car park or at a safe roadside spot.

We work around the clock, including weekends and bank holidays, because tyre problems do not keep office hours. A blowout on the A14 at midnight gets the same response as a booked tyre change on a Saturday morning.

Our Promise to Every Driver

Every job follows the same standards, whether it is a single puncture repair or a full set of four tyres for a company van. We check the tyre inside and out before recommending anything, and we repair it if it is safe to do so. When a new tyre is needed, we give you a choice of budget, mid-range and premium options and explain the difference in plain terms.

Before we leave, every wheel is torqued to the manufacturer’s setting and every tyre is set to the correct pressure. Old tyres are taken away for responsible disposal. If something is not right, call us and we will put it right.

My 40 to 50 minite wait was not met but not their fault as westbound A14 was closed.  They did keep me updated on their delay and were great when got to me.
